Transactions: Originally a 2nd round (34th pick overall) draft choice by the Giants in 2004.

 

NFL: Tough, physical and athletic offensive lineman earned a starting position as a rookie and started every game for the Giants in 2005…Has started all 28 regular season and postseason games in which he’s played.

 

2005: Started all 16 regular season games and the NFC Wild Card Game at right guard…Selected as a 4th alternate to the NFC Pro Bowl squad…Offensive line provided enough run blocking for Tiki Barber to rush for a franchise record 1,860 yards…Pass blocking enabled Eli Manning to pass for 3,762 yards, the 5th-highest total in franchise history…Blocking at Oakland (12/31) helped Barber rush for 203 yards, including a team-record 95-yard touchdown…Snee and the line provided enough run blocking for Barber to rush for a team-record 220 yards vs. Kansas City (12/17)…Offensive line allowed 1 sack and provided enough blocking and protection for the Giants to gain 437 yards of total offense at Philadelphia (12/11)...The line helped the Giants gain a season-high 490 yards of total offense at Seattle (11/27)…Snee and his linemates did not allow a sack and provided enough pass protection and run blocking for the Giants to gain 344 yards of total offense at San Francisco (11/6). Snee recovered a Jim Finn fumble on the Giants’ 15-yard line in the 3rd quarter…Offensive line provided outstanding run blocking vs. Washington (10/3), enabling the Giants to rush for 262 yards, the 8th-highest total in team history and their highest total since they ran for 289 yards vs. Pittsburgh on Dec. 31, 1985…The line allowed 1 sack and provided enough pass protection and run blocking vs. St. Louis (10/2) for the Giants to gain 456 yards of total offense, their highest total since they had 461 yards in a 10-7 overtime victory against Philadelphia on Dec. 28, 2002.

 

2004: Started all 11 games in which he played at right guard, a job he won in training camp…Missed the final 5 games of the season after waking up the morning of the game at Washington (12/5) with an inflamed gland just beneath his jaw...Arrived at the stadium early, but there was no progress in his condition prior to the time the Giants had to submit their list of inactive players...The condition did not improve enough for him to play again in 2004…Started at right guard vs. Atlanta (11/21) as offensive line allowed season-low 1 sack...Offensive line opened provided enough run blocking for the Giants to gain 147 yards on the ground at Arizona (11/14)...Started at right guard at Minnesota (10/31) as offensive line helped the Giants rush for 168 yards and 4 touchdowns…Made his NFL debut at Philadelphia (9/12), where the line’s blocking helped Barber rush for 125 yards on 9 carries, including a 72-yard score.

 

COLLEGE

One of the premier drive blockers in college football, Snee teamed with fellow guard Augie Hoffman to give the Eagles a formidable tandem to open holes for their very successful ground game. Moved into the starting lineup for the final six games of his freshman campaign, lining up at right tackle before shifting to right guard, then settling in at left guard for four games that year. Started at left guard as a sophomore before taking over at right guard in 2003. Helped pave the way for Derrick Knight to rush for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons. A standout defensive lineman during his high school days, Snee also excelled on his prep basketball squad.

 

Was a 2nd-team All-America selection and an All-Big East Conference 1st-team choice by The NFL Draft Report in his final season at Boston College…Started every game, including the San Francisco Bowl, at right guard, providing excellent blocking as tailback Derrick Knight ranked 4th in the nation in rushing with 1,721 yards…Started every game at left guard in 2002, helping the team finish 3rd in the Big East in total offense (5,074 yards) and second in passing yards (3,010)…Third-team Freshman All-America selection by The Sporting News in 2001…Member of the Big East’s All-Freshman team…Played in 9 games, starting the final 6 contests…Made his 1st career start vs. Virginia Tech at right tackle before shifting to right guard for the Pittsburgh contest…Redshirted as a freshman in 2000.

Married (Katie)...They have two sons... Attended Montrose (Pa.) High, earning All-State honors as a junior and senior…Named as the Regional Defensive Player of the Year in 1999...Three-time All-Conference choice and a 2-year All-Regional honoree...Recorded 47 sacks in his 3 years as a starter on the defensive line…Also a starter on the offensive line...Led his team to the district title in both 1997 and 1998...Totaled 101 tackles in his senior season...Served as 1999 team captain…Two-time All-Conference selection and team captain on the school’s basketball team...Played in the 43rd annual Big 33 Football Classic (features the top players from Pennsylvania and Ohio)…Member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society…Son of Diane and Ed Snee…Born Jan. 18, 1982.

 

Chris is highly involved with his hometown branch of the United Way in Susquehanna County, where he hosts an annual 4th of July Punt, Pass & Kick event and parade…In 2005, Chris visited the AmeriCares complex after the Asian Tsunami, packaging donated items and filming a PSA…Served as guest speaker at the Elmira/Corning All-Sports Dinner…Attended the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund’s “Pigskin Ball” fundraiser…Attended the Giants’ Ronald McDonald House fundraiser dinner. Member of the MDA’s 2006 Muscle Team.
